On arrival at Lady Elliot Island you will be met by the friendly activities staff for a brief orientation of the Island. Welcome refreshments will be served at the Poolside Bistro where you will have the opportunity to ask any questions. |

Snorkel Equipment,
activities staff will
direct you to the Dive Shop for snorkel fitting. At this time you will
need to book your complimentary Glass Bottom Boat Tour or
Boat snorkel.
Departure times will depend on tides, usually 11am or 1pm.
If you have never snorkelled or would like a "refresher", the Dive Staff will be happy to give you a complimentary Snorkelling instruction in the Pool. Simply ask the Dive Staff for the best location to suit your swimming ability. |

Buffet Lunch, (2:00pm - 1:30pm) a selection of hot and cold Buffet is served in the Dining Room. Beverages are available for purchase at the Lagoon Bar. |

Reef Educational video documentary will be
showing in the education centre, please check the activities 'black board'
in the education centre for the commencement time.
Reef Walk (tide dependent), low tide provides a unique opportunity to take a guided tour of the reef flats. See Blue Linkia Starfish, Octopus, Sea Cucumbers and a wide variety of coral. |

Fish Feeding, come face to face with the
magnificent fish life that inhabit the Coral Lagoon. Join the Activities
staff at the fish pool. Please check the Activities 'black board' in the
education Centre for the commencement time.
Departure , please return your snorkel equipment and meet outside the dive shop 20 minutes prior to your scheduled return flight. |

Activities and Facilities
Reef Education Centre: Lady Elliot Island Reef Education Centre has several aquariums displaying living corals and many of the smaller reef creatures, which are native to the local area. The education Centre also has a large display of visual aids and exhibits, a library of both videos and books and a huge collection of slides, all of which hold key information about Lady Elliot island and the Great Barrier Reef. The activities staff conduct slide presentations on a regular basis as well as conducting informative tours of the island to explain the Eco-system, the reef and the native wildlife both above and below the water. Snorkelling: Snorkelling in and around the lagoon is both safe and rewarding. Schools of large fish and turtles are a common sight in these waters. Daily guided snorkels and regular boat snorkels are coordinated by the activity staff. Glass Bottom Boat Tours: This is a great way to see the beautiful coral formations and outstanding marine life of the Great Barrier Reef without getting your feet wet. The glass bottom boat operates daily from Lady Elliot Island (subject to weather and tides). Whale Watching : From June to August, Humpback whales frolic in the waters around Lady Elliot Island. These huge creatures of the sea migrate each year to the northern waters to calve, they return again past Lady Elliot Island on their way home to the southern oceans. Sightings can occur during your scenic reef flight, from the beach or reef plateau, whilst diving, or from the dive vessel. |
